Greetings Troopers!

It’s been a long time, we know. We’re sorry about that. Our fans mean a lot to us, and we really wanted to wait until we could share some good news with you about the future of World War Toons. Unfortunately we don’t have that right now, but everyone here at Studio Roqovan agrees you deserve an update on what’s been going on behind the scenes with World War Toons.

Back in September, we stopped all service for World War Toons and removed it from the PlayStation store. We found that the increasing difficulty of having both VR and 2D gameplay interacting together began to compromise what we could make at the timeframe we wanted to keep. In addition, we had a shift in the design of the game that we wanted to finalize as well. Designing a fully-fledged, AAA quality shooter is pretty hard all by itself; building one that functions equally well in VR and non-VR is even trickier.

Currently, we don’t feel the game is in a state that represents the quality standard we want to hold ourselves to, as we feel our players should expect an amazing gameplay experience regardless of the platform they use to play World War Toons. However, as a small team, there’s only so many resources we have to work with. As a result, we’re currently searching for a publisher to assist us in providing the help we need to complete the game.

We appreciate your patience, and as soon as we have more to share on the World War Toons front, we’ll let you know right away. We love the weird, wacky world we’ve created, and hope to have you all dodging falling anvils on the battlefield again very soon.
